Cloth Diaper Update

Well, I finally got around to using the new cloth diapers I ordered a few weeks ago. I only bought three, so not much to report yet. He went through two of them, both poopy, with nary a blowout, which is fantastic. This little baby has a talent for pooping out the back of his diapers. We just moved him up a size to try to prevent it, and it hasn't worked. If cloth diapers save me from three clothing changes a day, I will be very happy to deal with the laundering of them. (Which I haven't done yet, by the way.) I put Oscar to bed in the last clean one, and am curious to see how that will hold up. He isn't a major wetter, so I don't think it will be too bad; I'm more wondering if it will get uncomfortable for him because it's cloth. He does like having a clean diaper, unlike Wyatt who would run around in a poopy diaper until he had a major rash. We shall see.

Sounding good so far! I am very interested in how it goes for you. I did cloth with Eve for awhile, but as a new mother who was completely exhausted and overwhelmed, it didn't work out well.

Now, I think I could handle it. It would save a bunch of money, for sure. But, I think I'm addicted to the smell of Pampers :)

huh interesting. I've never even fathomed the idea of using cloth diapers-- I just don't have the patience for it. Good luck w/that.

I actually remember when there were no pampers! I'm pretty glad too, that I don't have to worry about those things anymore. Although I really miss the smell of a baby. They are (my babies were) so cuddly & soft. Ummm. Lovely.
